Mailing Label


1.       We’ll now us Word to merge addresses to mailing label. You can close the mail merge document yu cerated open. Microsoft word 2003 again, or “Click” back to Mail Merge Task Pane step 1 of 6. When you are on this task pane, select Label as shown in the merge on the right.
2.       Then, select Nect Starting document at the bottom of the step 1 of 6. Mail Merge Task pane
3.       The mail merge Task Pane 2 of 6 will now apperar & you will notice that it is logically “Tailored” to labels
4.       The first thing you will need to do selct the type of label you are using. Click the label options selection. The label options menu screen at the top of the next page will appear.
5.       When the label options menu screen appears, notice several “things”
6.       First, if you click the down arrow on the right of label products you will see various brand of label
7.       You will need to select the brand of label you are using. We find that every 5160 is a popular choice, so we are going to use it for our label Merge lessons. Once you have choosen your label, klik OK button.
8.       As soon as you click OK, you will see a “Page” of your labels appear to the lift.
9.       When your label appear, click, Next Select Recipiens at the bottom of the Mail Merge Step 2 of 6 Task Pane.
10.    You will now be taken to the mail merge step 3 of  Task Pane. What do you here is exactly what you didi on this Task Pane on Pages 2 through 5 above. You can review these pages as you desire.
11.    When we finished selecting your recipient, your Task pane
12.    We’ll oe select Next, arrange your label from the bottoms of the Task Pane
13.    Notice that Mail Merge Task Pane step 4 of 6 has changed slighty to reflect Arrange your labels.
14.    Because of the dilemmas we mentioned on pages 13 and 14 we’re ONLY going to use the more items selecttiions to create our label
15.    When the insert Merge Field menu screen appears (as shown below) follow the instruction on pages 10 and 11 above. Select first time, last name etc.
When your label looks like the image below, click the close button we’ll edit the labels  like we did on pages to 10 & 11
16.    When your top left label looks like you desire (Ours is seen in the image on the right. We followed the steps on pages 10 & 11 again). Click the update all labels button in the replicate label area of the Task Pane
17.    So, left mouse to the next Task Pane Click on the Next: Preview your label in the step 4 of 6 Task Pane.
18.    Your labels should now look similar to the image below. Notice that all the state are capitalize. To review your labels you can move from label page to label page
19.    If you have more than one sheet of label, use thepage up & page down, movement arrows in the lower right corner of the vertical elevator bar on the right of your screen to move from page to page.
20.    Now we’re ready to print our labels. Click next complete the merge in the step 5 of 6 Mail Merge Task Pane.
21.    The mail merge task pane 6 of 6 will now appear and you are ready to print your labels the same way we printed document on pages 14 and 15 above.

22.    If you use there labels often, you should save your file, just as we did with document for the file will automatically link with your database or spreadsheet and update with any new entries.
